Simon D'Arcy started his solo voyage from Chichester Marina on June 1st 2010 in a 24ft 6" Cornish Crabber, circumnavigating the UK clockwise. The voyage of some 2500 miles, will take between three and four months. The challenge being to attract as much media coverage as possible, throughout the voyage, to highlight the little-known fact that a simple PSA blood test for the early detection of Prostate Cancer is available to all men over 50; by visiting their GP and requesting it.
To launch the Prostate Cancer Charity awareness campaign in March, The Charity's CEO, John Neate and Simon featured on a GMTV special.
